Join CBF at a tree planting on a farm in the Antietam Creek watershed. We will plant 600 native trees and shrubs on three acres along the Dog Creek, a tributary to Little Antietam Creek in Rohrersville, Maryland. The farm is part of a growing movement to sell products directly to consumers. It is approximately five miles from Gathland State Park.

These trees will help improve water quality, reduce downstream flooding and sequester carbon to help mitigate climate change.

Come learn about regenerative agriculture and its role in mitigating climate change, improving water quality, and building healthy soils for the next generation of farmers.

All attendees will receive a free calendar, "A Consumer's Guide to Supporting Regenerative Agriculture in Maryland." The calendar includes inks to the many Maryland organizations and farms selling directly to the public.

Project partners include MD DNR Forest Service and Univ. of MD Alternative Breakers. This project is part of CBF’s Partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and WGL Energy to sequester carbon through restoring forested stream buffers. The Maryland Department of Agriculture is also providing funding for this project.
