If you have any questions, contact&nbsp;chesapeakeclassrooms@cbf.org.&nbsp;\n===================================================================================================================================\n\n\n\nChesapeake Connections and Actions\nOpen to rising 9th-12th graders in DC, MD, PA, VA.\nPlease note, although this course is open to students from across the watershed, this expedition will start and end in Maryland.&nbsp;\nJoin fellow high school students to connect, learn, and take action as we explore environmental issues in the Bay region. We’ll travel to unique places and discover the magic of the Bay found in its rivers, marshes, farmlands, and within the communities along its shores. This one-of-a-kind expedition will equip participants to become the next generation of environmental leaders, whether they are just beginning their journey or building upon past experiences. Participants will acquire new skills, as well as a deeper knowledge and appreciation for saving the Bay and its tributaries. \nLength & Location: This five-day event is in-person and overnight (tent camping in Prince George's County and dormitory-style housing at CBF’s Port Isobel Island Environmental Education Center).\nStarting & Ending Points: Prince George's County, MD.\n\nOrientation: A virtual orientation will take place June 4, 2025, from 4-5 p.m. A recording will be made available for those who are unable to attend.  \n\nService-Learning Hours: Upon successful course completion, participants will earn at least 10 service-learning hours. \n\nCost: All transportation, lodging, and meals will be provided during the expedition. Participation will be determined on a first come, first served basis. \n\nEARLY BIRD Registration for Prince George's County students: Prince George's County students can register early at a reduced rate of $250. Enter “1” next to the Early Bird ticket on the following page. Financial assistance is available. Apply using this form. Early bird registration ends April 11, 2025.\n\nStandard Registration:&nbsp;If you are not a Prince George's County student, generous support from CBF donors and grants allow us to offer this weeklong expedition for $500. As of March 11, 2025, all standard registration tickets have been purchased. Please join the waitlist for this course. We frequently pull from our waitlist to reach our final expedition numbers. Financial assistance is available. Apply using this&nbsp;form.&nbsp;\n\n\nCancelation Policy: Cancellations made before June 1 will receive a full refund minus a $75 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after June 1; however, we are happy to transfer registration to another expedition, based on availability.
