Hello Southern Maryland Stewards!

Have you ever wished you could learn more about the Chesapeake Bay and how to protect it? Well, now is your chance!

During our 6-week Southern Maryland Volunteers as Chesapeake Stewards (VoiCeS) course, you will learn from experts across the field, including scientists, city planners, and local government officials. Sessions will cover a range of Chesapeake Bay issues through a community focused lens including fisheries science, urban and rural pollution pressures, environmental policy, and more! The VoiCeS program will take place on Wednesday evenings between October 4-November 18, with Saturday field trips scattered throughout. *Participants are required to attend at least six out of the eight classes/field trips.

Have you ever wanted to tour an operating regenerative farm or even a wastewater treatment plant? Not only will we offer a variety of virtual and classroom-style learning sessions, but we will also be offering field-based learning opportunities through numerous field trips around St. Mary's and Prince George's Counties!
