Summer is in full swing at CBF's Clagett Farm, and that means it's time to care for our native tree and shrub nursery! Each year we foster thousands of saplings that get planted on land across Maryland. Keeping the plants strong and healthy throughout the season is of great importance to our regenerative mission.

To us, working outside in the garden & nursery while getting our hands dirty in the rich soil reduces feelings of stress, stimulates the senses, and is a great way to get exercise. The time and effort you spend working in our tree nursery has a direct impact on protecting local waterways, mitigating climate change, and helping Maryland farmers conserve their land.

Please join us for a few healthy hours on the farm to pot up, weed, and mulch our growing saplings! For the health and safety of our volunteers, CBF requires that all volunteers complete CBF's Health and Safety Form prior to engaging in any volunteer efforts. A link to the form will be provided in your confirmation email.
