Prince George’s County Explores Climate Change Investigations and Actions
Open to all teachers in Prince George’s County, MD.

How can Prince George’s County schools use their local environment to lead efforts in saving the bay and addressing climate change? Come spend five days in the field with CBF investigating watersheds, ecosystems, and their integration with environmental justice, regenerative agriculture, and climate change. Explore the vast resources in Prince George’s County that can help you create lessons to elevate student voice and engage your students in hands on learning. Work with other course participants to explore and implement a seamless immersion of inquiry, student voice, and climate action into your existing curriculum.

Length & Location: Five consecutive days exploring the urban, forested, and agricultural lands of Prince George’s County by boat, canoe, and on foot.
Cost: $375
Credit: Upon successful course completion, participants are eligible for continuing education credit or contact hours. Graduate credit is also available and requires additional forms and fees. See details on our website.
Orientation Date: Attendance at one virtual orientation is required prior to your course. Meetings are hosted at 7 p.m. May 17, June 21, and July 12. Meeting links will be provided.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made before June 1 will receive a full refund minus a $75 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after June 1; however, we are happy to transfer registration to another course, based on availability. All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
