Join Will Poston, CBF’s Forage Campaign Manager, for an informative webinar recapping how the Virginia General Assembly addressed menhaden issues during the 2026 session.

Menhaden are a small, silvery, and nutrient-packed fish that play a vital role in the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem. They are also the target of the largest fishery on the East Coast, with a tremendous amount of extraction here in the Chesapeake Bay.

In this webinar, we will break down what happened during the 2026 session: key bills, debates, policy outcomes, and advocacy progress. You’ll also learn how these legislative decisions impact the Bay, coastal communities, and ongoing conservation efforts. Finally, CBF will share how you can stay engaged as menhaden momentum builds this year.
