Join us and experience the wonders of a CBF field experience first-hand!

You are invited to join us on a Bay Discovery Trip. Pull up a net with a CBF boat captain to see what critters call the Chesapeake Bay home. Learn about the current state of the Bay, the challenges it faces, and how your support makes a difference.

The fee for members is $40 per person. The fee for non-members is $60 per person. Not a member yet? Join today!

This event is open to individuals aged 11 and up. Children aged 11 and older must be registered and accompanied by an adult.

About CBF Vessels:
Marguerite is one of CBF's education vessels. With its aluminum hull and jet drive propulsion, this 40 ft. workboat can get into very shallow water, providing an excellent platform to experience and enjoy the Bay’s waterways. It is safe, comfortable, covered, and has a bathroom (head) on board.

Inclement Weather and Refund Policy:
In the event of light rain, trips will still run. However, should heavy rain, thunderstorms or other severe weather conditions arise, the trip will be canceled. We will notify you by email and at the phone number you provide if weather will affect your trip.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Cruises may be canceled due to severe weather or mechanical issues. If a cruise is canceled, many guests choose to convert their ticket purchase into a tax-deductible donation to support the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's work. This is now our standard process. However, refunds for canceled trips are available upon request.

Health & Safety Procedures:
The health and safety of our guests and staff are our top priorities. CBF requires all attendees to review and complete our emergency information and liability waiver form prior to the event. Providing CBF with this information allows our staff to be prepared in case of an emergency.
