This is an in-person event.
Join the James River Association and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for the Mussel and Buffer Symposium, a collaborative event designed to bring together professionals, students, and community members who work on—or are passionate about—forested buffers, freshwater mussels, and watershed restoration.
The day will feature engaging presentations, hands-on learning, and a visit to Tucker Park on the James River for in-field exploration.
Morning sessions will include a large-group presentation and breakout discussions focused on research, mussel restoration, and outreach. After lunch, participants can take part in an informational networking session where experts will share their projects and experiences. If you’re interested in presenting during this session, please indicate your interest and proposed topic on the registration form. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Tucker Park, where attendees can dive deeper into mussel or buffer restoration, see real-world examples up close, and connect with field experts.
Breakfast items and lunch will be provided.
Registration information will be shared with the James River Association. Your registration includes periodic email updates from CBF. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email you received from us.
