Riparian buffers—trees, shrubs, or other vegetation along a stream or waterway—are an important tool to improve the health of the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem and local waterways, and routine maintenance is critical to their success.\nWe will discuss the importance of the maintenance work we're doing—from weeding the buffer to replanting trees that have been damaged. You'll learn about the role trees play in mitigating harmful environmental conditions and improving water quality, all while enjoying a hands-on volunteering opportunity.\nAddress will be provided after registration.\n\nThis event is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation through the Environmental Stewardship Fund.\n\nWe’re committed to making our events accessible to everyone.
