The Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Clean Rivers & Streams Legislative Action Day in Pennsylvania is a chance to advocate for the environmental actions that mean the most to you and your community. Our state’s waterways need advocates, now more than ever, to help advance policies and legislation that benefit clean water and work towards improving water quality for communities here in Pennsylvania and as well as further downstream.
Prior to the Legislative Action Day, we will host three virtual advocacy workshops over Zoom. We’ll help you develop your knowledge of the legislative process here in Pennsylvania, support you in crafting your own advocacy message(s), discuss clean water legislative priorities, review lobbying tips and best practices, and answer any questions you may have to ensure you feel ready for the day.
The event will kick off at CBF’s Harrisburg office in Wildwood Park between 7:45-8:15 a.m. We will run a shuttle between our offices and the Capitol complex throughout the day for participants, and CBF staff will be on-hand to provide any assistance, as needed.
CBF will schedule your in-person meetings with your legislator(s) and fellow advocates throughout the morning. Details regarding your legislator meeting time(s) will be sent the week leading-up to the Legislative Action Day.
IMPORTANT: During registration, you will be prompted to provide the names of your state representative and state senator. Please ensure you have this information BEFORE beginning the registration process.

EVENT WAIVER FORM: We ask that all registered participants complete a CBF event waiver form. A link for that form will be sent prior to the event.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: An excused absence letter for the day of the event can be provided, upon request.
