Calling all advocates: Join us for CBF's Clean Water Advocacy Workshop at the Brock Environmental Center in Virginia Beach!

Registration deadline: September 30, 2026.

• an overview of the policy priorities CBF will focus on during the 2027 Virginia General Assembly session;
• an Advocacy 101 overview for first-time advocates and those who are interested in gaining a better understanding of how they can use their voice to influence their elected leaders;
• an advanced advocacy discussion for experienced advocates with a speaker with state and local government experience who will share their perspectives on the inner workings of government and how community members can effectively advocate;
• exploring how data centers are impacting Virginia's environment and water resources and what communities can do to advocate for smarter policies;
• networking with other advocates from across the state; and more!

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Programming will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and end by 4:00 p.m. Coffee, light breakfast fare, and lunch will be provided.

11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.: Beyond the Basics: Inside the General Assembly & Effective Advocacy

12:30–1:30 p.m.: Lunch

1:30–2:30 p.m.: Data Centers' Impact on Virginia's Environment and Water Resources

2:30–3:30 p.m.: Details TBA

3:30–4:00 p.m.: Closing & Farewell

4:00–4:30 p.m.:Volunteer assistance with cleaning up tables and chairs is appreciated.
