Join the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for a community tree planting in Chimborazo Park. This event is part of Richmond Tree Week.
At this planting, volunteers will plant approximately 55 native trees. Richmond’s trees cool our city, filter air and water pollution, and stabilize soil to reduce erosion and reduce carbon emissions.
No prior experience is necessary! We will provide all tools, gloves, and instructions. Wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring your own water bottle. Please register so we can bring the appropriate number of tools.
Keep in mind that we limit the number of volunteers who can participate, so if you find that your schedule or health prevents you from being able to attend, please let us know so another volunteer can attend in your place. You can contact Ann Jurczyk via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by phone at 804-258-1522.
The rain date for this planting is Sunday, November 9, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Funding for this tree planting is provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund.
Your registration includes periodic email updates from CBF. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email you received from us.
