Join the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for tree maintenance at Yaupon Place Park.
Volunteers will be adding TreeDiapers® to trees planted in the fall. TreeDiapers® absorb rain or irrigation water and slowly release it back to the plant when the soil dries. It promotes healthy outward root growth that facilitates the establishment of newly planted trees and shrubs and enhances long-term health. The trees will provide shade and green space, absorb rainwater and pollution, stabilize soil to reduce erosion, and expand tree canopy, so it's important to add this plant protection system.
No prior experience is necessary! We will provide tools, gloves, and instructions. Wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring your own water bottle.
