Come to the Brock Environmental Center for a night of creating and advocating! You and other Bay lovers will create a no-sew reusable bag from a t-shirt while learning how you can easily be an advocate for local and state water quality issues. Bring your own t-shirts to make bags for yourself or for holiday gifts. There will be a sewing option, too, so once you learn, you can make more at home. The workshop will be led by Chesapeake Volunteer Steward graduate and fashion designer Sonya Phillips. Advocacy topics include how to advocate for local issues using the plastic bag fee as an example, and when the best time is to meet with your state representatives to discuss Bay issues. It's all about saving the Bay!
