One of the most effective ways to see community improvements is to advocate at the local government level for beneficial policies.

Join us for an online conversation with four local government leaders from across Virginia to gain insight on how your local leaders—city council, supervisors, and staff—can help protect and improve the health of our streams and the Chesapeake Bay. During this webinar, you'll gain information and skills for engaging with your local leaders on issues important to you.

Panelists from both rural, agricultural jurisdictions as well as urban centers will talk about how their constituents can influence the trajectory of Bay restoration. From the comprehensive plan process and the planning commission to budget priorities and ordinance development, you'll learn where and how your voice can be most impactful to improve the health of your waterways and your community.

Speakers Featured:

Andria McClellan, Norfolk City Council, Superward 6
Michael Jones, Richmond City Council, 9th District Representative
Roberta Kellam, former Northampton Planning Commissioner and member of the Virginia State Water Control Board
Gerald Garber, Augusta County Board of Supervisors, Chairman
