IMPORTANT UPDATE: After closely monitoring the forecasted snow and ice, we've made the difficult decision to cancel Clean Water Lobby Day on January 27. Attendee safety is our top priority, and the expected conditions create too much uncertainty for safe travel.
Clean Water Lobby Day is your chance to lobby with fellow advocates in your district for the environmental action that matters most to you. We need advocates like you, now more than ever, to help advance policies that benefit clean water and meet Chesapeake Bay restoration goals. Prior to Lobby Day, we will host a Zoom call to discuss active legislation and budget requests, provide you with fact sheets, provide lobbying tips and best practices, and answer any questions you may have to ensure you feel completely comfortable.
We will kick off Clean Water Lobby Day at the parish hall of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, which is a short walking distance from the General Assembly Building and Virginia Capitol, from 8:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m. CBF will schedule your in-person meetings with your legislator and fellow advocates throughout the morning. We will wrap up with lunch at St. Paul's to recap a day well spent and encourage you to sit in on a committee meeting in the afternoon. Attendees will receive details regarding their legislator meeting time in the days leading up to Lobby Day.
IMPORTANT: During registration, you will be asked if you would like CBF to schedule your legislator meetings. If you select yes, you will be prompted to provide the names of your state delegate and state senator. If you are registering guests, please ensure you have this information for them as well before beginning the registration process.
Not sure who your legislators are? Learn who represents you at whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov.
