Raise your voice for clean water!

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Bay Advocacy Institute trains college students to be knowledgeable and active community members so they can advocate for clean water and engage their communities and representatives.

University of Maryland, College Park students are invited to join the Bay Advocacy Institute for three in-person training sessions this semester, with an option to pursue a certification in Bay Advocacy. You do not need to sign up for all three sessions. Following the completion of the training sessions, students will have the opportunity to engage in Chesapeake Bay policy issues, environmental advocacy, networking, and volunteer opportunities.

    October 11th, 6-7:30 PM
    Bay and Advocacy 101: How you can create change in your community
  • Session 2
    October 18th, 6-7:30 PM
    Maryland State Legislation and Issues: Climate Change and More
  • Session 3
    October 25th, 6-7:30 PM
    Regenerative Agriculture: Farming for the climate, community, and environment

All sessions will be held in the Edward St. John Buillding, Room 1202 on the College Park campus. Please bring a notebook and pen or a laptop/tablet and be prepared to participate!

UMD BAI students are also invited to participate in the CBF Outdoor Trips, provided at no cost! Registration is required though and all trips are planned for ahead of the training sessions, so be sure to register today!
