Raise your voice for clean water!
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Bay Advocacy Institute trains college students to be knowledgeable and active community members so they can advocate for clean water and engage their communities and representatives.
Batten University students are invited to join the Bay Advocacy Institute to participate in advocacy training and workshopping, along with time to socialize and network. We will host the sessions across three Wednesday evenings, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in The Lighthouse:
- November 4: Introduction to the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia state-level Policy
- November 11: Federal Policy and Advocacy Workshop
- November 18: Oyster restoration in the Chesapeake
Please register for every session you plan to attend.
The Bay Advocacy Institute also includes the opportunity to become a Certified Chesapeake Bay Advocate, network with CBF staff and other students, and participate in events and outdoor trips.
Snacks, drinks, and swag provided!
Please bring a notebook and pen or a laptop/tablet and be prepared to participate!
